PORCELAIN HISTORY

After businessman Benjamin Hunt from Boston had cooperated with porcelain fabricant Karl Speck in Elbogen (Loket), he started to build a porcelain factory in Grünlas (Loučky, district of Nové Sedlo) in 1905, which came to a halt because of the financial crisis in the USA. There are different statements about the following period, but there is no doubt that Rudolf Kämpf took over the business in 1911 operating under the name Rudolf Kämpf GmbH. The company was nationalized after World War II, acquired in 1992 by porcelain producer Leander 1946 s. r. o. and sold in 2006 to CS Investment Czech holding.
