Places to visit

Nearby the town’s centre castle Hohenberg sits enthroned on a rocky
hilltop. Where in former times C. M. Hutschenreuther started to make
porcelain, today there is a meeting and educational institution with a major course programme, also a youth hostel. A commemorative plaque made of ceramic plates informs in the entrance area about
the border town’s history of origin.

From the castle’s towers you may enjoy a view into the neighbouring
Czech Republic. If you wish for more, you can take the border hiking
trail along the bicycle path between the Caroline spring and Hammer
mill and enter the Czech Republic on this path.

The Caroline spring is a curative acidulous sparkling mineral water
in the midst of an almost untouched nature, at the foot of the castle
buildings. This stimulating water is best tasted from a porcelain mug.

PORCELAIN SHOPPING
DIBBERN GmbH is located right next to Porzellanikon and offers its
factory sales there.
