The Porcelain Route will lead you from the cradle of the Northern Bavarian porcelain production in the Fichtelgebirge to the Stiftland in the Upper Palatinate Forest, Franconian Switzerland and the Steigerwald via the Upper Main-Valley-Coburg Region to the Frankenwald and the Bavarian Vogtland and as far as the Kaiserwald in the neighboring Czech Republic where the first Bohemian porcelain factory was founded in Horní Slavkov.
Whether by car or caravan, as hiker, cyclist or biker you will discover along former and exisiting porcelain production sites the traces of an industry branch with long tradition situated in breathtaking landscapes.
