Tip of the Porcelain Queen 
The first china pieces were produced in the small factory of the watchmaker Ludwig Lindner in the Großensterzer Straße in 1886. Until 2005 this history was continued with the Mitterteich AG.

The town of Mitterteich is situated in the area of the Stiftland, surrounded by the attractive landscape of the Oberpfälzer Wald, the Steinwald and the Fichtelgebirge which have numerous recreation possibilities. In the immediate vicinity is the Czech spa triangle Marienbad-Karlsbad-Franzensbad. Together with the Sibyllenbad close to Neualbenreuth, Mitterteich serves as starting point to a transborder spa region.

Culinary Dishes

Goulash Soup of fallow deer (4 persons)
500 gr. meat of fallow deer (leg), 350 gr. onions, 100 gr. smoked belly of pork, 1 red and 1 green pepper, 2 tablespoons flour, 1 l stock, 1 can of chanterelle mushrooms, paprika (sweet), oil for frying

Cube the meat of fallow deer, the belly pork, the onions and the peppers. Sweat the onions in hot oil, add  the meat and the belly pork and roast it for about 10 minutes. Add the pepper cubes; season it with salt, pepper and paprika. Add the flour and deglaze it with one litre of hot water. Put in the chanterelle mushrooms, stir and let it simmer covered for about 40 minutes. Season and serve it hot together with farmhouse bread.
