Course of the Porcelain Route

Creative handcraft and modern design; tradition and innovation; cultural history and lifestyle

The Porcelain Route welcomes you on a journey through three centuries of china history. The Holiday Route crosses the whole of North-East Bavaria (over 500 kilometres), and unites the attractive holiday areas Steigerwald, Upper Maintal, Coburger Land, Frankenwald, Fichtelgebirge and Oberpfälzer Wald. A varied landscape invites you to stay, and to enjoy the regional cuisine.

Save the tradition
The proud past shows itself constantly in many places: Museums, factory outlets, speciality shops and manufactories show the whole spectrum of the china production. As multi-faceted as the china is also the home of the White Gold. In the idyllic small towns but also in cities like Bamberg, Bayreuth, Selb and Weiden china is ubiquitous.
